Saint Andrew's Society
of Tidewater

Welcome to our web site! Any of our Society's officers would be pleased to provide you with information about out activities! Check out our current page, and call or email us for more information!

Purpose:
The Saint Andrew's Society of Tidewater Virginia is organized to provide assistance to those of Scottish heritage; to encourage and promote the study of the history, traditions, and culture of Scotland, and  of the influence of immigrant Scots in the development of the United States; to promote, foster, undertake, and encourage research, education, and the dissemination of information concerning the history of Scots and their tradition and culture, to perpetuate Scottish traditions and culture, and to promote activities among its members.

Meetings:
A monthly dinner meeting is held on the first Monday of each month.  Anyone interested in Scottish culture and history is invited to attend.  Please call one of our points of contact for time and location.

Activities:
The Society participates in Scottish community activities throughout the year, and hosts a Burns Night in January.  The Society cooperates with other Scottish organizations for Kirking of the Tartan church services, participation in Highland Games, and other such events.
